CastXM Privacy Policy

Effective October 9, 2026. This policy covers the CastXM watch app version 0.1. CastXM is operated by Joinfuns (Taiwan).

In short

CastXM keeps your pet on your watch. It has no account, does not connect to the internet and does not send your steps or any personal data to us.

What stays on your watch

• Your pet, eggs, memories, settings and the name you give your pet are saved in the app's storage on your watch.
• CastXM reads today's step count from your watch to turn steps into snacks. The count is used on the watch and is not sent anywhere.
• When you open the Pet helper page, CastXM reads your watch's notification count, phone connection, battery level, Do Not Disturb setting and today's steps and step goal so your pet can suggest what to do next. It reads them only while the page is open, does not save them and does not send them anywhere. It never reads the content of your notifications.
• Every 30 minutes a background check on the watch decides whether to remind you that your pet needs care. It uses only the saved pet data. You can turn reminders off in the app settings.

Deleting CastXM from your watch deletes all of this data. We cannot recover it, because we never receive it.

What we do not collect

CastXM does not request network access. We do not receive your name, email, Garmin account, location, heart rate, health data, step history or device identifiers, and the app contains no ads or analytics.

Garmin

CastXM runs on Garmin Connect IQ. Installing the app, its settings page in Garmin Connect and crash reports that Garmin may share with developers are handled by Garmin under the Garmin privacy policy, not by this policy.

Future features

Features that would need the internet, such as playing with friends or moving your pet to a new watch, are not part of this version. If we add them, we will update this policy before the update is released and they will be optional.

Children

CastXM is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13.
